Somewhere, now

About This Service

Somewhere, Now is a workshop program that will bring together women from newly arrived, refugee and asylum seeker communities with professional female artists. The workshop   program, beginning in April 2015, comprises theatre, music, singing, dance, story-telling and circus components and the artforms will be utilised for their capacity to facilitate connection and interaction amongst participants.  It is hoped that a new artform a new way will emerge from the meeting of cultures and art forms in this unique community engagement project. At Women's Circus, we believe that we, the less recently arrived Australians, have an opportunity to learn, grow and develop through working, creating and sharing with the rich and diverse cultures still arriving.
