AMES Community Assistance Support

  1. Community Assistance Support ongoing (CAS ongoing)

    This program is aimed at clients on bridging visas (BVEs) who have been assessed as being vulnerable and need continued intensive support. These clients have to meet the following criteria to be eligible:

    • Experience of mental health issues, which serve as a barrier to visa status resolution
    • Experience of a serious physical health issue such as a stroke or brain trauma
    • Elderly and unable to support themself, with no other means to do so
    • Unable to support themself due to the effects of torture or trauma
    • Experience of family issues such as child abuse, domestic violence, serious relationship issues or child behavioural problems
    • A minor at risk of harm or a guardian of such a minor
